To care for your bags, we recommend spot cleaning only.
Preparation
- Prepare a mild cleaning solution using a few drops of gentle detergent mixed with warm water.
- Use a gentle detergent only (free of fragrances, dyes, or other chemicals is best, so you don't damage the bag's fabric).
- Remove all items from the bag before cleaning.
Steps
- Use a soft brush or a dry cloth to gently brush off any loose dirt or debris from the surface.
- Before applying the cleaning solution to the area you wish to clean, test a small, inconspicuous spot on the backpack to ensure it does not cause discoloration or damage.
- Dip a clean, soft cloth or sponge into the cleaning solution. Wring out any excess liquid to avoid soaking the fabric.
- Gently dab or blot the stained area, avoiding any vigorous scrubbing.
- Dampen another clean cloth with plain water and gently blot the cleaned area to remove any soapy residue.
- Use a dry towel or cloth to blot the area and absorb excess moisture.
- Allow the backpack to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area, avoiding direct sunlight or heat sources which might fade the fabric.
- Check the cleaned area once dry. If the stain is still visible, repeat the process until the spot is gone.
- Ensure it is completely dry before using again and never store away while damp.
Other Tips
- To clean zippers, use a small, soft scrubbing brush to get into those harder-to-reach places. A toothbrush will work well.
- For insulated lunch bags, use a clean cloth to dry the interior once it has been wiped down.
